SYNOPSIS
TRIPP KENNEDY (Patrick Dempsey), scruffily handsome, ambles into Credit Manhattan Bank near closing time, just as two different gangs unwittingly converge to rob this same bank at the same time.   A shoot-out erupts and Tripp tackles the smart and pretty teller, KAITLIN, to the ground to protect her as everyone dives for cover.  The gangs have deadlocked themselves in a Mexican standoff.   One in full tactical military gear, clearly pros, DARRIEN, GATES and WEINSTEIN. And the other a couple of beefy, bumbling buffoons, PEANUT BUTTER and JELLY. “It’s our robbery.” “No, it’s OURS!”  Shots go flying everywhere and a customer is accidentally hit and goes down. The bank’s security system starts the end-of-day lock-down and seals the building – locking everyone into the bank.

Herded into a back room with the other customers and the staff, while the bank robbers work on the vault, it becomes apparent that Tripp is gifted with a great mental ability: he is extremely smart and rapidly assimilates and processes the smallest details. Once he sneaks out of the back room through the ventilating shaft to investigate, he rapidly suspects something is wrong. He figures out that the “accidental death” in the bank was actually a murder, and as the night goes on more people are murdered one by one. He soon deduces they are all linked--but who’s the murderer?

Tripp and Kaitlin try to solve this mystery, try to avoid being killed, try to avoid falling in love. They solve the mystery, they don’t die, they do fall in love. 2 out of 3. Not bad.
